Ipsy Bag: October 2013

Today I'm going to show you what was in my Ipsy bag for the month of October! The theme for this month's bag was "The Art of Beauty." The bag's design was okay.. nothing that screams out to me. I always enjoy getting these bags because they are perfect for keeping your purse organized!

This is what I received in my bag:

Zoya Nail Polish in Giovanna
This color is super gorgeous! I decided to spare your eyes the pain of me trying to swatch the colors on myself! What you see is what you get with this color!

*Buy 2 Nail Polishes, Get 1 Free & FREE Zoya Remove+ at zoya.com. Use the code: IPSYZ3 at checkout.

Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel
I love Sexy Hair products! I had never tried this blow dry gel before so I was super excited to see it in my bag! I have really enjoyed it - especially since I have thick hair that is hard to tame while blow drying! I really like that it's a blow dry gel for taming and a volumizing gel to give you that extra volume that you want!

*Receive $5 off $25 or more purchase of Sexy Hair products at ulta.com. Use the code: 105339 at checkout.

LA Fresh Eco-Beauty Oil-Free Face Cleanser Wipes
Theses wipes aren't anything special. I have plenty of other cleansing wipes that have worked better for me but I don't hate them. They smell great which is always a plus in my book!

*Receive 30% off any purchase at lafreshgroup.com. Use the code: IPSYLOVE30 at checkout.

Nourish Organic Deeply Nourishing Coconut & Argan Body Lotion
I absolutely hated this lotion. I couldn't get past the scent to even see if the lotion was a good product. As soon as I took the lid off, the scent made me cringe! What's funny is that I've seen a lot of reviews and people love the scent. I'm not sure what they are smelling but this lotion is HORRIBLE!! I threw it away right after I smelt it!

*Receive 20% off ANY Nourish Organic product at target.com or at any Target store. Use the code: Nourish20 at checkout.

Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tickle Me Pink
I really like the color of this lip pencil! I am beginning to take more interest in lipsticks and lip liners so I was happy to see this in my bag! I've really been enjoying Starlooks products!

*Receive 20% off purchases of $35 or more at starlooks.com. Use the code: IPSY at checkout.

So out of the 5 things I received, I was happy with 3 of them. The wipes were just a "meh" for me and the lotion was a complete dud! You learn over time that it's always a hit or miss with subscription box services. I think I'm going to retake the quiz on ipsy's website to see if I can get anything different in the next bags!

For those of you that don't know about IPSY, it is a monthly makeup subscription service. Each month you will receive a bag filled with 4-5 deluxe samples or full sized products. If you would like to join ipsy, you can do so by using my referral linkWhat's great about this service is that you can skip a month if you don't have the money or just don't want the bag for some reason that month. No penalty whatsoever! As you can see from the products I received in this bag, it's a great bag for only $10!

There is usually a waiting list for this high demand subscription service but you shouldn't have to wait too long before getting in on the goodies! I was on the list for maybe 2 weeks and I'm so glad I waited! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me! :)

*Disclosure regarding my ipsy referral link: If 2 people sign up through me, I get one free product in a future ipsy bag. (That goes for anyone who is an active member of ipsy or a current waitlister. You only get 1 free product per month meaning that if you have 3 people sign up in the month of August, only 2 of them will count. This process starts over the first of every month.)

ReallyWorks Beauty: REHAB for Hands and Feet Review

I had the opportunity to try out a new brand I had never heard of before- ReallyWorks. Some of you may already know but I love wearing flip-flops.. all of the time!! We all know what happens when you are constantly wearing flip flops or sandals.. your feet get really dry, scratchy and cracked. It's not a good look for any girl, which is one of the many reasons why we get pedicures!

You all know pedicures don't have long lasting effects, leaving your feet feeling unpleasant only a few days after you had a pedicure done. I've done it all: pedicures, callus remover.. I even bought one of the foot scrub things they use at the nail salon that looks like a cheese grater! None of the things I tried made my feet feel the way I expected them to feel afterwards.

Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream Review

I recently received this product from Resvology via BrandBacker to try out and review. I've only tried it for a week and have already seen some pretty great results! I had never heard of Resvology so when I had the chance to review their products, I hopped online and checked their website out! Resvology has a group of scientists that have created all of these chemically sound products. The product I received was the Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream. Below is some information straight from their website - feel free to check the website for yourself as well!

Photobucket

Every other Wednesday, the Metro Atlanta Beauty Bloggers will answer a beauty-related question just for fun! This week's question is...

What are your go-to fall fragrances?

Fall is finally here which means it's time to bring out the fall fragrances! Personally, Fall is my favorite time to wear warm, deeper scents. Everyone needs to keep in mind that certain scents won't be the same on you as they do on me and vice versa. The way a fragrance smells on you depends on a lot of factors such as stress, mood, etc. My top 3 fall scents are:

Urban Decay's Maui Wowie & Mushroom Review

A week or so ago I went to Sephora and swatched the whole display of Urban Decay single shadows. Although I wanted every single one of them, I permitted myself to only get a few. The two I decided to get were Maui Wowie and Mushroom.

MABB Bi-Weekly Question: Brights or Neutrals?

Photobucket

Every other Wednesday, the Metro Atlanta Beauty Bloggers will answer a beauty-related question just for fun! This week's question is...

On a daily basis, do you favor bright colors or neutrals?

I'm am a neutrals girl all the way! Bright colors aren't something I do hardly ever because I don't think the colors are flattering on me. The "brightest" I've gotten with a color is a bright blue on my lower lash line or a lighter purple shadow. I love sticking to the neutrals and using lots of glitter!! Glitter makes everything better!

Leonie Blackhead Removing Peel-Off Mask Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out a blackhead removing peel-off mask. I've tried many peel-off masks in the past and they don't work! I end up having to wash it off with a washcloth because half of the mask won't come off. When I think of a peel-off mask, I picture being able to literally peel it off in one piece. This is the first mask I have ever tried that does just that!!

What is it?

Leonie Blackhead Removing Peel-Off Mask is a ground-breaking black mask that instantly removes excess sebum, blackheads and other impurities from your skin. This innovative mask draws out blackheads and cleans your skin better than pore strips. Not only does it work perfectly on your nose, you can also use it on any problem area.

Garnier BB Cream Review

Today I'm going to be talking about the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream. I've been told for a long time that I don't necessarily need to use a foundation because I have beautiful, clear skin. That's not always the case, but I decided to try a BB Cream out and see how well it worked with my skin and how much it would actually cover.
