Too Faced Glamour To Go Palette Review

Hey ladies!

I have another palette to review today. This is the Too Faced Glamour To Go Palette. I bought it offline at Sephora for $22. When I saw it, it looked so pretty and seemed like something super useful for days that you are on the go and have no time to go home and touch up. I was really excited to give this palette a go until I actually tried the products.

This palette comes with 8 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer and 1 lip gloss. I guess I didn't read something correctly because I thought that the lip gloss was a highlighter until I swatched it! I'm a little disappointed in that because I don't tend to go for palettes with lip glosses in them just because it is something I will never use. I'm a chapstick or tinted lip balm girl for the most part.

This is my first Too Faced product and I hate to say it but I wasn't too impressed. I had a high expectation for Too Faced cosmetics because it's a higher in brand and I've only heard good things about it. I'm very disappointed in this palette :( I kept wondering if maybe I got a bad one which does happen occasionally with makeup but after reading countless reviews on the product, it seems to be a standard issue. A lot of people suggested wetting it and using it that way so I may have to try that out some other day.

The swatches above are of the first 4 shadows on the top row. From left to right: bronzed gold, taupe, pale pink, golden-yellow.

The swatches above are the 4 shadows on the second row. From left to right: chocolate brown, shimmery white, silver blue, shimmery grey-black

The swatches above are the blush, lip gloss and bronzer. From left to right: Blush- rosy pink, Lip gloss- very pale pink, Bronzer- light brown with shimmer.

Pro's
  • I like the packaging- easy for throwing it in a makeup bag or purse
  • Nice sized mirror
Con's
  • Shadows aren't pigmented whatsoever- I had to keep building up the color  but it still didn't look like it should
  • Blush color looks like your natural "flushed" color which is pointless to wear
  • Bronzer is glittery and not pigmented at all
  • I don't like lip glosses that come in palettes so that was just a dud for me

I don't really suggest going out and spending $22 on this palette. It wasn't worth it to me. I don't know if I will ever try any other eyeshadow palettes from Too Faced again after this. It's such a shame :( Did any of you have a problem with any of the Too Faced brand items? Or have you tried this palette in particular and had the same results/or different results? I'm curious so let me know your experiences with Too Faced products!

  3. At first glance I thought the lip gloss was a highlighter as well. What a shame, the palette looks so pretty, glad I saw this review.

I don't own any Too Faced shadows, but I've seen them all over YouTube, the boxed shadow sets, and they look like they have pretty good pigmentation.

Just found your blog through the blog hop, new follower, I'm still a newbie, hope you can check out my little blog. :)

    Have a blessed day!
