I recently came across a new mineral makeup brand: Diva Minerals. As most of you know, I used to wear a lot of bareMinerals and it was expensive! You would buy a single mineral eyeshadow (0.57g/0.02oz) for $14! I loved bareMinerals makeup but I was constantly wanting more colors and the cost kept adding up! I decided to contact her and asked if I could try some of her eyeshadows and she sent me out 10 samples of shadows. I asked her to pick out some more neutral shades since that is typically what I wear.
About Diva Minerals:
Diva Minerals Makeup's mission is to provide high quality makeup to women without the high price tag! Mineral Makeup without the irritants and fillers that a lot of brands have in them! Every woman has some "Diva" in them - some have a little, some have a lot... "Bring out the Diva in YOU!!"
What I Recieved:
1. Sandy Shore
2. Peach Colada
3. Sunny Dayz
4. Sun Bunny
5. Lake Bound
6. SPF
7. Flip Flop
8. Skinny Dip
9. Beach Bunny
10. No Tanlines
Swatches:
1. Sandy Shore | 2. Peach Colada | 3. Sunny Dayz | 4. Sun Bunny | 5. Lake Bound
6. SPF | 7. Flip Flop | 8. Skinny Dip | 9. Beach Bunny | 10. No Tanlines
Pigmentation/Texture:
I've always thought that mineral makeup has better pigmentation than panned products. Her products are so pigmented.. even my husband loved the colors! :) They aren't rough or "scratchy" and glide on your skin smoothly!
How to Apply:
Everyone applies mineral eyeshadows differently. I definitely recommend applying a primer beforehand so that the color sticks better to your lids. You can also apply them wet with water or a setting spray (like MAC Fix+). It's really just a preference thing- just try it out several different ways of applying and you will figure out the way you prefer to use!
Pricing:
Each 3 gram jar costs $4.00. If you want to join in on her auctions on Facebook, she starts the price at $3.00! Sometimes she will sell groups of mineral colors together for a little more money! She also hosts other giveaways on her page all the time!
How to Buy:
All you have to do is go to Diva Minerals Facebook page here, check out the photo albums and choose the colors you like and message her through Facebook to place your order! It's as simple as that! :)
My Thoughts:
I'm absolutely in love with this brand! I was amazed when I started swatching them.. they are almost IDENTICAL to bareMinerals and not even a third the price! I will never purchase mineral makeup from a higher end brand again- especially when I know that Diva Minerals is just as good, if not better!! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mineral makeup to try out.. especially if you don't want to pay the high prices of bareMinerals! I also love how sweet the owner of Diva Minerals is! I've dealt with some pretty rude people before but she is just as sweet as can be! :)
In fact, she is so sweet that she is giving away ONE- 3 gram jar of mineral color- YOU PICK THE COLOR! You can enter below! Make sure to share with your friends! :) Good luck!!
