Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter Review

I have horribly dry skin, especially in the colder months. I recently became a member of iFabbo and was browsing the shop when I came across the Perlier Imperial Honey body butter. When I see or hear "body butter," I immediately think of a thick, moisturizing cream. Body butters are my best friend, although some definitely work better than others. I still haven't found my perfect body butter, mainly because the longevity of the products isn't as long as I would like. I want to be able to apply body butter in the morning and still have silky smooth, moisturized skin at the end of the night.

As you can see from the picture above, the packaging looks very elegant. The only problem I had with the packaging was the fact that I couldn't get one decent picture of the product without having my reflection in it as well (hence the reason I am using the picture off the HSN website!)

This body butter is formulated from the honey of black bees and royal jelly. It nourishes the skin with sensual notes of honey and Oriental Woods. When I first opened it up, my first instinct was to smell it (I know I'm not the only one!!) It smelt just like cocoa butter which is a smell I enjoy. After I applied it to my skin, however, I disliked the smell. I guess I'm not a huge fan of the Oriental Woods scent or the fact that it's mixed with a honey scent. Whichever it may be, I hate the scent. I really wish they had left it up to the products to make the scent instead of adding smells to it.

Other than the scent, the consistency itself is perfect! I really enjoyed the feeling of this body butter on my skin. Some body butters leave my skin feeling greasy- not this one! My skin looked and felt silky smooth all day long! I really wish I enjoyed the scent because then this product would be perfection to me! When my skin gets very dry, I suck it up and use this product so that I can get the smooth and moisturized skin. 

If you really enjoy honey, cocoa butter and woodsy scents- this product is definitely for you! If scents don't really bother you and you have very dry skin, give this product a try! I really enjoyed the after effects of this product! I can handle the scent in moderation so I use it about once or twice a week to keep my skin moisturized.
