May Birchbox Review

I have heard a lot of good things about Birchbox so I thought I would give it a shot. For anyone who doesn't know what a Birchbox is - it's a company that sends you a box of samples from Kiehl's, stila, Jouer, Smashbox Cosmetics, Carol's Daughter - Beauty by Nature, Kérastase and many more brands for you to try. It costs $10 each month.

I received my first box today and I am extremely disappointed. My box is missing a lot of things. There is a note inside that tells you what is in your box, what the product does and how much the full sizes retail for. I will list what should have been in my box below:

Just in time for summer, this metalic gold polish looks glam day and night.

• Dr. Jart + |  Waterfuse BB Cream ($32)

Thing of this four-in-one moisturizer serum, sunscreen, and skin-perfecting tint as the (extremely stylish) Swiss Army Knife of your beauty lineup.

• stila | sparkle waterproof liquid eye liner ($22)

Pearly shimmer meets intense pigment in this lasting liner. Better yet, the pen-like want makes wiggle-free application a breeze.

• Kérastase | Cristalliste Lumière Liquide ($42)

Smooth this lightweight, fragrant serum through dry strands to add gorgeous shine.

Extras

This shampoo removes oil from roots while leaving ends healthy and soft.

Text messages are no match for handwritten notes on fun, modern stationery. 


I had to go onto Birchbox's website and shop the May box to see what products were sent out for the month. They have a variety of boxes with different products. Now for the things I received in my box:

• Kiehl's Abyssine Cream + ($48)
• Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream ($19)
• stila sparkle waterproof liquid eye liner ($22)
• BVLGARI Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette Spray ($64)
• Kérastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide ($42)
• Notecard ($10 - set of 12)

So as you can see, I definitely didn't receive all the things that were listed inside the box. I ended up receiving products that weren't supposed to be in my box. I'm very disappointed. I called them after I received the box and informed them of my concerns. They apologized and said they would send another box out tomorrow. I asked if they could expedite the shipping since I already waited a week to get this box and they said no. Now I have to wait another week before receiving my new box. I'm hoping everything is in my box this time or I will be canceling my subscription and asking for my money back.
